Re-reading these books brought back memories of my teen-age years when Dolly and Dottie were two of my best friends. I loved their stories then and I love them now. Unfortunately,, these modern printings leave much to be desired. There are many errors--misspellings, words misplaced and left out, and the font is ridiculously small! I have a hundred year old copy of this book (literally! 1915) from my childhood and I just adored it. I was delighted to see the kindle version, and that there is a sequel. It is certainly old-fashioned, but a very good story and well worth a read today.
