Candace Chance led a sheltered life. Everything taught and provided for her by The House. Until her 18th birthday then she found out the truth about her situation and fled.
Luke Saint was on his way to the music store early when he heard the screams. When he went to investigate, he found Candace in serious trouble. He shifted and rescued her from The Managers’ thugs. He took her under his wing back with him to the recording studio. They found out she was skilled at singing and was willing to help in the recording studio by singing along with her soprano/alto voice.
Once The Saints exposed their secret, she told them hers. To hopefully avoid The Manager and his future plans for her, she and Luke married and Luke shows Candace that sex between two people can be so much more than just what she had seen or heard about at The House growing up with. ((“There’s all kinds of love, darlin’ “he said “There’s what we have for each other, based on courage and mutual respect. There’s what we’re gonna feel come mornin’, when we wake up makin’ love together in that big bed. Then there’s what we’re gonna feel for each other when we’re both old and gray and watchin’ our grandkids play.”)).
And when the Manager and his thugs did catch up with them at the studio, Addy and The Boys shifted and made short work of the threat to Candace and everyone’s lives. And the local police put a stop to future prostitution from him and were very grateful for their help.
This story shows that love can overcome obstacles. And Candace didn’t stay in the bad place but ran and was rescued by Luke.
I have read most of your books I love them all that are amazing to read....I can't put them down.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. I have read a lot of Becca Fanning books. I can't get enough of Fanning books. This is the third book in this series that I have read. I love this series. I could not put the book down. I can't wait to read more books by Fanning. I will recommend this book and author.

This is a short story that had drama right out the gate. I have to admit that I didnt read the first 2 but I will be doing that so I can get the full effect of the story.
I Received this book in exchange for my honest review but i have since purchased the book. The boys seem to be the ones who rescues their mates before they meet all the time in these books. Candace is left alone on the streets when she is found by Luke.
It had a great ending to it too
Candace was raised under lock and key with no real knowledge of the outside world. It takes a very strong woman to try to get out of a bad situation with nothing but the clothes on her back, but Candace knew that she had to try to save herself. She bravely escaped and was fighting for her life when Luke heard the fighting and rescued her. Although she came from a rough background, Candace loves music and fits right in with the Saint family of musicians. This is a lovely short story with a happy ending to Candace's very bad start in life.
